A bit about Emily..

Emily is an Actor, Singer and Presenter based in Sydney Australia. Having grown up in Sydney and having had a passion for performing from a young age Emily studied Singing, Acting & Dancing as a child and played many lead roles throughout her schooling.  Emily backpacked through Europe, taking in International Theatre & Art after school and then completed her Bachelor of Communications at Notre Dame University, Sydney majoring in Theatre and Journalism in 2009.

Emily played lead roles such as  Maria Rainer at Hornsby RSL Theatre in The Sound of Music, Mary Magdalene in Jesus Christ Superstar at Riverside Theatre, Melissa in Dead White Males and Sgt Sarah Brown in Guys and Dolls at the Zenith Theatre. She also worked in Events & Media during this time.

In 2014 Emily was offered a place in the Masters of Music Theatre course at the prestigious Royal Central School of Speech and Drama  and was offered a audition merit scholarship. The course included  acting technique, acting through singing, body conditioning & dance, private singing tuition, devised theatre, ensemble work, career management and performance examination. The course also included two public musicals and an agency showcase in 2015. Performances included a self devised production Big City Dreams which was Directed by Thomas Hescott and the premiere of a new musical based on the Greek play Lysistrata with Bill Bankes-Jones at the helm and Julian Kelly as MD. As part of her final thesis Emily wrote and performed in a one woman show based on the life of Doris Day, The Thrill of It All.

Whilst in London Emily developed her own cabaret, a war time tribute featuring 25 songs from 30s & 40s performed in complete airforce uniform as Miss Platinum Peach.  The show premiered at London hot spot, Cahoots in Soho; originally a train station/air raid shelter now home to an exclusive cocktail club. This cabaret is now available for private events, lounge bookings or residential/care home entertainment. 

Now back in Sydney, Emily  has been seen in  'The Search', a short play at the Depot Theatre playing Sandra, in a series of Cellarbrations Bottle Shop commercials and most recently as Guenevere in 'Camelot' at the Seymour Centre & Brenda in 'Catch Me if You Can'.  Emily completed the NIDA Advanced Screen Actors Ensemble in 2016 and continues to work with Acting Coach Pip Edwards & Vocal Coach Beth Daly. Emily has also trained at the Anthony Meindl Acting Workshop with Jonathan Kehoe.
